We’ve been customers of Stamps.Com for several years now, and for the most part, enduring long lines at the Post Office are a thing of the past (except for passport renewals). We print out our stamps and mail small packages from the convenience of our home, saving time and gasoline. Occasionally, however, I encounter technological problems, as when we had to purchase a new laser printer and the Stamps.Com didn’t immediately recognize it. The failure to print out a bunch of stamps occurred several times as I worked to get the software and the printer to communicate properly, which I did eventually. I then had to submit a request for refunding the money I spent on postage that never was actually printed.
For whatever reason, still unknown, the Post Office denied my request routed through Stamps.Com. After being informed of the denial, I sent an email to Stamps.Com asking them to look into the matter. The promptly refunded my money, at their own expense. Thanks so much, Stamps.Com!

Dear Aniel,
Thank you for contacting Stamps.com Customer Care.
We appreciate the opportunity to offer you Stamps.com’s complete mailing solution.
As a courtesy, we are crediting your postage balance the $20.60 you were denied. You were denied because the Post Office saw nothing in your submission except the Form itself.
Stamps.com recognizes that there are occasions in which your printer may not print postage correctly. Stamps.com will assist you in obtaining a refund for misprinted NetStamps postage by submitting a request to the USPS on your behalf.
Misprint credits are subject to approval by the USPS. Each claim must include the actual misprinted postage, the claim form, the print history, and the labels that you were intending to print on.
If your claim was rejected, it was because of the following reasons:
1) The claim was mailed more than 30 days after the postage print date.
2) We received the postage detached from the mailpiece. Please DO NOT cut out any portion of the envelope or package. If the entire envelope, packaging, or label sheet is not submitted, you will not receive credit. If you wish, you may print postage on any unused labels prior to submitting a label sheet for a refund.
3) We did not receive any physical proof of your postage.
4) We received blank labels without any printed information or indicia on them.
5) We received a photocopy of the postage rather than the postage itself.
6) We were missing the printed postage history, or account activity report, that can be found in the software under MY ACTIVITY -> PRINTED on the left side of the screen (in Version 7 of the software) or under VIEW HISTORY -> REFUND (in Versions 8.0 and above).
Information related to the USPS requirements can be found here:
